Common Core Standards

The Common Core State Standards Initiative is a U.S. education initiative that seeks to bring diverse state curricula into alignment with each other by following the principles of standards-based education reform. Currently many states are in the process of updating their entire curriculum to meet the Common Core standards. At Capo Beach Christian School, we have made it one of our primary goals to completely (TK-8) upgrade our entire curriculum to be aligned with the Common Core standards, putting us on the cutting edge of the curriculum spectrum.

These standards will ensure that all students are prepared for success in postsecondary education and the workforce. Common standards will help ensure that students are receiving a high quality education. Common standards will provide a greater opportunity to share experiences and best practices within and across states that will improve our ability to best serve the needs of students. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers. We are proud to be a part of this movement.
